Céad Míle Fáilte!

This site is dedicated to my family's genealogy, to Ireland in general and to my ancestors' home in Swinford, County Mayo, Ireland.
      My genealogy efforts began in 1996 when most of my older relatives had passed on. There was very little information about my family roots. So I turned to the Mayo Family History Centers. They have provided almost all of the data about my Doyle ancestors in Ireland. Much of the remainder of my family history and Ireland was gleaned from sources in England and Philadelphia by friends who were found through the various Rootsweb mailing lists and message boards. Two visits to Ireland and some other sources on the internet provided additional information and photos.
      The site does not contain all of the information suggested by the menu on the right side, for it is an ongoing project that probably will take a few more years. My family photos cover a period of more than 100 years, and other groups of photos I've taken over time, are currently a work in progress.
